Project Outline

Issues in the power field

Myanmar has been experiencing rapid economic growth in recent years, which has also brought power usage to more areas; this is expected to further expand the demand for electric power. Subsequently, the country is facing an urgent issue of setting up and maintaining core power transmission systems to ensure a steady power supply.

Consulting outline

Employees are dispatched on site from Kansai Transmission and Distribution and NEWJEC to review designs for the construction of new 500 kV core power transmission lines linking the Bago and Yangon regions and two associated substations, prepare the bidding plans and documents and review the bidding process, aid in contract negotiations, and supervise construction, etc.
In addition to the above, another consulting service we offer is developing and running a training program for electrical engineers in Myanmar, which includes the design of power transmission and substation facilities, and tours of factories and manufacturer plants as well as power supply stations.
Through this project, we are helping Myanmar to achieve a steady supply of electric power, and also contributing to the country’s future development.

Objective To expand the power transmission capacity and achieve a more reliable power supply, so as to meet the expanding demand for electric power in Myanmar.
