Kansai Transmission and Distribution operates power systems and plans and builds power transmission and distribution facilities and substations, so that we can deliver the electricity generated at our power plants to the places where customers use it. We will continue to deliver a safe and steady supply of electricity to customers at a low price and in a neutral and fair manner, along with reliable and secure power utilization services, and by doing so contribute to the development of local communities.

Utilizing our facilities located throughout the Kansai region and drawing on our accumulated technologies and extensive experience, Kansai Transmission and Distribution is venturing into new business areas such as providing services that use location information on electric poles, and consumer demand data on smart meters. Centering on four strategic areas and eight key businesses, we will consolidate our autonomous business base as a power transmission and distribution company, while creating new services that will make a positive difference in local communities and society.

Kansai Transmission and Distribution makes maximum use of the technical capabilities and expertise we have acquired across all operations in our domestic power transmission and distribution business, including planning and operating power systems, and survey, design, construction and maintenance work in the fields of power transmission and conversion, power distribution, security and control. We will continue to work with the Group companies on expanding the power transmission and distribution business overseas and promoting international cooperation, with an aim to boosting profitability and advancing our technical capabilities.
